In the following table are summarized the most important results of the Von Mises stresses, in plate and membrane elements. For plate elements it is listed the worst Von Mises stress between top face, bottom face and mid plane. They are envelopes, considering all the combinations. The stresses can be smoothed (smt) or unsmoothed (uns): if smoothed, a nodal average between elements sharing the same node is applied, otherwise, the elemental value are left unchanged. The stresses can be total, membrane or bending. In plate elements total stresses are got considering the membrane and bending stresses. Membrane stresses are got considering only the membrane part of the stresses, and bending stresses considering only bending part.

This section lists the envelopes of the results of the checks, that is the maximum utilization ratios of the elements, in all combinations and for all checks executed for each element.
</%>

<%XSCRIPT7_7X%>
The following pictures report the results of the checks as utilization ratios: these are non dimensional number which are generally defined as the ratio between a failure index and the bounding value for that failure index according to a given failure mode. This ratio might be a ratio of forces, or of stresses, or a ratio of displacements of or pure numbers, depending on the particular failure mode checked and the particular formulae used. Nevertheless, always when an utilization ratio is greater than 1, then a check has not been passed. If on the other hand an utilization ratio is lower than 1, then check has been passed.
